Building My Own Growth Tools
Head of Growth, Decktopus AI
When a small team needs to work like a big one, I build the tool instead of hiring for the task.

The situation
A growing blog goes stale as the product changes: old feature names, broken links, outdated screenshots. Launch videos need to be made again for every new feature. These jobs are important but slow, and a small team never has time for them.
What I did
I built my own tools with Claude Code and shared them as open source:
- cms-blog-optimizer: a pipeline that refreshes many blog posts at once. It reads each post from the CMS, checks it against the real feature list, rewrites it to our brand rules, verifies every link, and saves it as a draft for a human to approve. It never publishes on its own, and it keeps the cheap checks out of the AI to save cost.
- product-launch-projects: reusable video templates for feature launches, built in code. Swap the colors, copy and screen recordings, and a new 30-second promo is ready.
- claude-skills: a library of AI skills for my marketing work, from SEO audits to launch planning.
What I learned
The best automations keep a human in the loop. AI does the heavy lifting, people make the final call.
What changed
Work that used to take days, like refreshing a batch of posts or making a launch video, now takes hours. And this site itself is part of the same habit: I built it instead of using a page builder.
